Careful technology with Rachel Coldicutt

Rachel Coldicutt is a researcher and strategist specialising in inclusive, community-powered innovation and the social impacts of new and emerging technologies. She is founder and executive director of research consultancy Careful Industries.

She was previously founding CEO of responsible technology think tank Doteveryone where she led influential and ground-breaking research into how technology is changing society and developed practical tools for responsible innovation. Prior to that, she spent almost 20 years working at the cutting edge of new technology for companies including the BBC, Microsoft, BT, and Channel 4, and was a pioneer in the digital art world. Rachel is an advisor, board member and trustee for a number of companies and charities and, from 2020-2023, served as a non-executive director at Ofcom. In 2019, Rachel was awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours for services for the digital society.


2024 in review with Karin Rudolph and Ben Byford

Karin Rudolph is the founder of Collective Intelligence, a Bristol-based consultancy specialising in AI ethics and governance. Collective Intelligence provides training and resources to help organisations implement ethical AI practices and robust governance.

Karin also organises the AI Ethics, Risks, and Safety Conference, an annual event taking place in Bristol in May 2025.

Karin is a regular speaker at universities and conferences and an active member of the tech community in the South West of England.

Guy Gadney is CEO of Charisma.ai, bringing to life the Future of Storytelling using advanced Artificial Intelligence.

With Charisma, Guy is transforming interactive entertainment through the use of advanced technology, producing projects for Warner Bros, NBCUniversal, Sky, the BBC, Oxford University and many others. He has also recently led the adaptation of John Wyndham’s novel The Kraken Wakes into an immersive narrative game powered by Charisma.

Guy is also on the Board of Oxford’s Story Museum, and a co-founder of The Collaborative AI Consortium, researching the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Creative Industries.
